I've been living the stressful and exciting life of a freelancer! It's strange to go from being very busy to not busy at all, but I love how unpredictable the projects can be. Here's a little bit of what I've been up to lately:
- Preparing "Waiting Room" for exhibition. I'm not allowed to announce it yet, but the premiere will be in late April, and a trailer will be out within two weeks. Post-production has been going really smoothly and it's been quite a journey! The official poster has just been released, so be sure to check it out in the facebook page and "like" it! facebook.com/waitingroomshortfilm
- I got to do makeup on a shoot produced by Sarah Hawkins for Kno Clothing, a company that aims to eradicate homelessness. I worked with three models and did makeup on Sarah for a short film by Lancaster-based filmmaker Rick Hansberry called "Smile." The company CEOs were present, and it was a blessing to work with people with such beautiful hearts.
- Co-writing "New Hope" with Naomi King, a feature-length film that has already been picked up by Group 13 Productions. The film is about a girl who finds out she's adopted right after her high school graduation and sets off on a journey to find them - and the only information she has about them is that they were modern-day hippies!
- Participating in Script Frenzy, an international challenge to write 100 pages of material in the 30 days in April. The first short film script I'm working on is for a TV show series called "The Indie Flicks," which already has a director and crew in place.
- I'm still selling Mary Kay cosmetics. I mostly work with young actors and models and give them specific information that only a makeup artist would be able to share with them for their careers.
- Editing some dance videos. The last video I edited was for a girl auditioning for the Radio City Rockettes. (I hope she gets it!) I LOVE editing dance videos.
A huge thanks to everyone who has supported me these last few months!
